The Government has a new portal for indigenous issues at http://indigenous.gov.au/. The site is a one-stop shop for government services for indigenous Australians and covers health, education, employment, and native title as well as families, and social issues such as domestic violence, the Stolen Generations and substance abuse. There is a separate bit of the site specifically for Torres Strait issues. Much of what's on the site links to useful documents.

Easier now

The search for a quotable quote just got easier with the launch of expertguide. It's at http://www.expertguide.com.au/. Journalists can use it to find sources and contacts from universities, research centres and institutes, organisations and associations and businesses. The site is funded by the organisations who want to include their experts on the site. The site currently has 1500 listings, mainly from Queensland, though the service aims to cover other states as well.
