Wireless broadband

Wireless broadband sounds like a pipedream but it's on trial in Sydney right now, according to a story today in Wired News. The company launching it, Personal Broadband Australia, (www.pbba.com.au/), claim laptop and PDS users can roam up to 9 km from a base station and still achieve good connection speeds using their iBurst service. They claim 1 Megabit per second download speeds. Other companies are also looking to bring such products to market.
